テモ２ ４
１ 私は、天の神と、キリスト・イエスの御前で、すなわち、彼の出現とその御国とに従って生きている者と死んだ者とをさばこうとしておられる方の御前で厳粛に勧告する。
２ 御言を宣べ伝えよ。都合が良くても時期を失っていても、すぐに語れるようにしていなさい、完全な忍耐と教えを保ちながら、責め、戒め、訓戒しなさい。
３ なぜなら、人々がまともな教に耐えられなくなり、聞くと心地よい話しを聞かせてもらおうとして、自分勝手な願望にまかせて教師たちをかつぎ上げ、
４ そして、真理からは耳をそむけて、架空の話の方にそれていく時が来るからです。
５ しかし、あなたは全ての事において冷静でいなさい。苦難を忍び、伝道者の働きをなし、自分の務を完全に執行しなさい。
６ わたしは、すでに自身をささげている。わたしが出発すべき時は間近かになった。
７ わたしは戦いをりっぱに戦いぬき、走るべき行程を走りつくし、信仰を守りとおした。
８ 今や、義の冠がわたしのために備えられている。かの日には、公平な審判者である主が、それを授けて下さる。わたしばかりではなく、主の出現を心から愛しているすべての人にも授けて下さるのである。
９ わたしの所に、早くこれるように努めてほしい。
１０ なぜなら、デマスは今の時代を愛し、わたしを見捨ててテサロニケに行き、クレスケンスはガラテヤに、テトスはダルマテヤに行ってしまった。
１１ ただルカだけが、わたしのもとにいる。マルコを連れて一緒にきなさい。彼はわたしの務のために役に立つから。
１２ わたしはテキコをエペソにつかわした。
１３ あなたが来るときに、私がトロアスのカルポの所に残しておいたマントを持ってきて欲しい。また諸々の書物も、特に、羊皮紙のを持ってきて下さい。
１４ 銅細工人のアレキサンデルが、わたしに多くの邪悪な事をした。主は彼のしわざに対して、報います。
１５ あなたも、彼を警戒しなさい。なぜなら、彼は、わたしたちの言うことにひどく[27]敵対したからです。
１６ わたしの第一回の弁論の際には、わたしのためにだれも協力してくれず、かえってみなわたしを捨てて行ってしまいました。どうか、彼らが、責められることがありませんように。
１７ しかし、主はわたしを助け、力づけて下さった。それは、わたしを通して[31]いたるところで宣教され、すべての諸国民が聞くようになるためです。そして、わたしは、ライオンの口から救い出されました。
１８ 主はわたしを、すべての邪悪なわざから助け出し、私のために彼の天の王国を確保して下さるのです。栄光が永遠から永遠にわたってこの方にありますように、アァメン。
１９ プリスカとアクラとに、またオネシポロの家に、よろしく言っておいて下さい。
２０ エラストはコリントにとどまっており、トロピモは病気なので、ミレトに残してきました。
２１ 冬になる前に来れるように努めて下さい。ユーブルス、プデス、リノス、クラウデヤと、すべての兄弟たちから、あなたによろしく言っています。

2Ti 4:1 Therefore I solemnly witness before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who is going to judge the living and the dead according to His appearance and His kingdom,
2Ti 4:2 preach the Word, be instant in season and out of season, reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and doctrine.
2Ti 4:3 For a time will be when they will not endure sound doctrine, but they will heap up teachers to themselves according to their own lusts, tickling the ear.
2Ti 4:4 And they will turn away their ears from the truth and will be turned to myths.
2Ti 4:5 But you watch in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fully carry out your ministry.
2Ti 4:6 For I am already being poured out, and the time of my release is here.
2Ti 4:7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith.
2Ti 4:8 Now there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, shall give me at that Day; and not to me only, but also to all those who love His appearing.
2Ti 4:9 Make haste to come to me quickly.
2Ti 4:10 For Demas has forsaken me, having loved this present world, and hehas departed to Thessalonica. Crescens went to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia.
2Ti 4:11 Only Luke is with me. Take Mark and bring him with you, for he is profitable to me for the ministry.
2Ti 4:12 And I sent Tychicus to Ephesus.
2Ti 4:13 When you come, bring the cloak that I left at Troas with Carpus, and the books, especially the parchments.
2Ti 4:14 Alexander the coppersmith showed many evil things to me. The Lord will give back to him according to his works.
2Ti 4:15 You also should beware of him, for he has greatly withstood our words.
2Ti 4:16 At my first answer no one was beside me, but all deserted me. May it not be laid to their charge.
2Ti 4:17 But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, that through me the preaching might be fulfilled, and that all the nations might hear. And I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
2Ti 4:18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work and will preserve meto His heavenly kingdom, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
2Ti 4:19 Greet Priscilla and Aquila and the household of Onesiphorus.
2Ti 4:20 Erastus stayed at Corinth, but Trophimus I left sick at Miletus.
2Ti 4:21 Try to come before winter. Eubulus greets you, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and all the brothers.
2Ti 4:22 May the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.
The second epistle unto Timotheus, ordained the first bishop of the church of the Ephesians, was written from Rome, when Paul was brought before Nero the second time.
