１ こういうわけで、わたしは何よりも第一に勧めます。すべての人のために、[1]願いと、[2]祈と、[3]とりなしと、[4]感謝とがささげられるようにしなさい。
２ 王たちのために、また、[5]権威あるすべてのすべての人々のためのことであって、それはわたしたちが、[6]静かで[7]安らかな[8]人生を、[9]完全に敬虔に、また[10]実直に過ごすためなのです。
３ なぜなら、それがわたしたちの救主なる神のみまえに良いことであり、また、[11]喜ばれることなのです。
４ この方は、すべての人が救われて、真理の知識に[12]向かって進むことを望んでおられます。
５ なぜなら、[13]お一人の神と、諸々の人との間の[14]仲保者がおられるのであって、その方は人間であられるキリスト・イエスなのです。
６ [15]この方は、すべての人のために[16]身代金としてご自身をささげられたのですが、それは、[17]時にかなってなされた[18]あかしなのです。
７ この事のために、わたしは任命されて宣教者、また使徒となり（わたしは真実を言っているのです。偽っていません）、また[19]諸国民に信仰と真理における教師となったのです。
８ ですから、私は[20]男性たちは、[21]激しく怒ったり[22]疑ったりしないで、どこでででも、[23]神聖な両手をあげて祈るように願っています。
９ また、同じように、女性たちは[24]控え目な服を着、適度に慎み深く身を飾り、[25]髪を編んだり、金や真珠をつけたり、[26]高価な着物を着ないように願います。
１０ それよりも[27]神を恐れている事を告白している女性たちに似つかわしい、良いわざをもって飾るように願っています。
１１ [28]女性は[29]静かにしていて、完全な従順の内に学びなさい。
１２ しかし、私は女性が教えたり、男性の上に権威を持とうとすることを[30]認めません。むしろ、静かにしているべきです。
１３ なぜなら、アダムがさきに形造られ、それからエバだからです。
１４ またアダムは惑わされなかったが、女性は[31]逸脱して惑わされたからです。
１５ しかし、もし彼らが[32]慎み深く、信仰と愛と[33]神聖さとを保ち続けるなら、[34]出産によって[35]救われるのです。
1Ti 2:1 First of all, then, I exhort that
supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for
all men,

in authority, so that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness
and reverence.

of the nations, in faith and truth.

men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
1Ti 2:9 In the same way also, I
desire that women adorn themselves in decent clothing, with modesty and
sensibleness, not adorned with braiding, or gold, or pearls, or costly
clothing,
1Ti 2:10 but with good works, which
becomes women professing godliness.
1Ti 2:11 Let the woman learn in
silence with all subjection.
1Ti 2:12 But I do not allow a woman
to teach, or to exercise authority over a man, but to be in silence.
1Ti 2:13 For Adam was first formed,
then Eve.
1Ti 2:14 And Adam was not deceived,
but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
1Ti 2:15 But she will be kept safe
through childbearing, if they continue in faith and love and holiness with
